For God So Loved The World That He Gave

I heard a story one time about a girl whose father owned a printing press, back when the Bible was first being published. While she was cleaning up one night, she found a page of the Bible on the floor – the last words printed on it were “For God so loved the world that He gave”. Excitedly, she ran to her mother and read the page to her. Quizzical, the mother asked, “Well, what did He give?” The daughter replied, “I don’t know, but don’t you think the fact that He would give us anything is wonderful!?”

When is the last time that you were excited over the simple reality that God gave you something? Of course we know the rest of the verse “…His only begotten Son…”, but I think we should be as delighted as this young girl was with the fact that God gave. He has given us so much.

We have wonderful students in this church, and it has been a privilege and a joy forming relationships with them. We’ve been bowling, got lost in a dark corn maze (in the rain), made it through an excellent soccer season, survived SuperBowl, and are looking forward to many more exciting events. Most importantly, we are learning more about each other, beginning a discipleship program, watching our community outreach program grow and integrate into church, encouraging each other spiritually, and growing in our relationships with Christ.

Delta Students: you’ll want to keep checking back here for a calendar of upcoming events!

Sponsor a Girl

You may be wondering about details of The Revolve Tour… like, “What is the purpose?” It’s designed to communicate to teen girls that God loves them, just as they are, and to draw them into a life-changing relationship with him. We’ve intentionally created the weekend to be an opportunity to invite girls who may either be deeply involved with church or not open to it at all. Everyone can have fun, be encouraged, and reminded that they are valuable, and God loves them.

In both my youth research and writing, I have talked with teens across the country about the challenges they face. And at each Revolve weekend, teen girls tell us what they’re struggling with. The questions they ask are sobering and often very surprising. We carefully tackle the topics in language appropriate for junior and senior high students—by using analogy, rather than graphic detail, to communicate. We’re excited that girls invite their school friends, neighbors, and family to join them.

Since The Revolve Tour began in 2005, more than 27,000 of the 313,000-plus girls who have attended indicated they made a first-time decision for Christ at one of our events. Use the resources on our site to get your starting in making it a weekend they’ll never forget.

Youth Counselor, Revolve Tour Speaker

We have 14 girls and ladies attending the conference on December 4th and 5th. There are two ways you can sponsor a girl:
.
1. There is astounding power in prayer, and the power of prayer is greatly needed as we attend this conference. We are asking that from now through the end of December you commit to praying for one girl by name every day. If you are interested, please contact Ashley, and she will give you the name and a little information about a girl you can specifically pray for!
.
2. In an effort to help with the cost of attending, we’re willing to work for you! We are willing to do a lot of things! If you are interested in sponsoring a girl to go to the Revolve Tour, contact Ashley – let her know what you want done, when you want it done, and she will set up the right girls for the job!

COMING SOON !

On Friday, November 13th, a group of over 150 teens and adults from our community will be traveling and participating in the ALL NIGHT event. Please keep us in prayer! We will be leaving Friday from Maplefields in Malone at 12:00PM, and returning on Saturday morning.
.
STUDENTS: if you need a ride to Malone on Friday, get in contact with Ashley and let her know! Don't forget to bring a hoodie, some sodas and snacks, and plenty of energy! An extra $10 is handy - because we'll be stopping for dinner (fast food) on the way to Albany!

Girls Varsity Soccer

The BMC girls soccer season has gotten off to a great start (4-0). Their most recent victory was over the Chateaugay Bulldogs on Friday night, a score of 2-1 after playing double overtime.
Kelsey (pictured left) ranks 2nd in her division of Section X. Taylor is ranked 12th, and Meghan is 14th!
We have teens playing on the varsity and modified teams. Keep everyone in prayer as they go throughout the season.
Play for HIS honor and glory - and reflect a changed life in everything you do and say.
See you on the field!
