In Sunday School today, we learned about John the Baptist, and how God used him to prepare the way for His Son, Jesus' ministry on earth. People came by the thousands to hear him speak and to be baptized. However, despite the notoriety that he received, he consistently pointed to Jesus Christ – the One that would come after him.
In our daily lives we need to remember, like John did – that we are nothing without Jesus. We are vessels that God has chosen to use for His glory; to point others to Himself – the Way the Truth and the Life.
John 3:30 says “He must increase, I must decrease.” As Christians, we cannot be first. It’s all about Him.
